HSE Junior Event Support Specialist

Hunter Safety Education Event Support Specialists are dedicated volunteers who play an essential behind-the-scenes role in ensuring that hunter education events in Oregon run smoothly. These volunteers assist with the setup and teardown of classrooms, shooting ranges, and demonstration areas, helping to organize materials and equipment needed for the courses. While they do not teach during the events, their support is crucial for creating a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for both instructors and students. Event Support Specialists help keep everything running on schedule, allowing instructors to focus on delivering quality education. This role is perfect for individuals who want to contribute to hunter safety and conservation efforts without directly teaching, while gaining valuable experience in event coordination and outdoor education.

• Minimum Age: 12
• Maximum Age: 17

• Form C - Conditions of Volunteer Service - Minor

Required Background Checks

Applicants at this level must submit a Minor Volunteer Acknowledgment Form signed by a parent or legal guardian, confirming acceptance of the minor’s responsibilities and liability.
