Bowhunter Safety Education Certified Lead Instructors in Oregon are experienced volunteer leaders who plan, organize, and manage bowhunter safety courses within their communities as part of the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife’s Hunter Safety program. Serving as the primary point of contact for their events, these Lead Instructors coordinate all aspects of course delivery—from scheduling and securing locations to managing materials and communications with students, volunteers, and program staff. They oversee the smooth operation of each bowhunter safety course, provide mentorship to other instructors, and ensure that all training meets program standards.
