Registration for: Certified Lead Instructor (Hunter Safety Education)
Hunter Safety Education in Oregon is a crucial endeavor focused on equipping hunters with the knowledge, skills, and ethics necessary for safe and responsible hunting practices. As a Hunter Safety Education Instructor - Certified Lead, you will coordinate and lead hunter safety education courses and field days, supervise a team of volunteer instructors and guest speakers, establish a registration and attendee check-in system, manage Facility Use Agreements, supervise event attendees and volunteers, and handle the setup and dismantling of materials and equipment. You will also administer and grade student exams to assess their understanding and ensure they meet the required standards for safe hunting practices. Your dedication to teaching hunter education in Oregon contributes significantly to promoting a culture of safety, ethics, and stewardship among hunters, ultimately fostering sustainable hunting traditions and preserving Oregon's rich natural heritage for future generations.
- Instruction: Teach and instruct people of all ages.
- Event Support: Help manage registration and check-in, and conduct event set-up and tear-down of materials and equipment.
- Driving: Pick up and transport equipment when needed.
- Event Management: Organize events, coordinate Hunter Education Instructors and Event Support volunteers, take attendance, and track volunteer hours.
