Registration for: Certified Instructor (Hunter Safety Education)
Hunter Safety Education in Oregon is a crucial endeavor focused on equipping hunters with the knowledge, skills, and ethics necessary for safe and responsible hunting practices. As a Hunter Safety Education Instructor - Certified, you will conduct engaging classes, hands-on demonstrations, and practical exercises to reinforce learning. You will also administer and grade student exams to assess their understanding and ensure they meet the required standards for safe hunting practices. Your dedication to teaching hunter education in Oregon contributes significantly to promoting a culture of safety, ethics, and stewardship among hunters, ultimately fostering sustainable hunting traditions and preserving Oregon's rich natural heritage for future generations. Complete additional trainings and opportunities to advance to Certified Hunter Education Lead Instructor.
- Instruction: Teach and instruct people of all ages.
- Event Support: Help manage registration and check-in, and conduct event set-up and tear-down of materials and equipment.
- Driving: Pick up and transport equipment when needed.

Physical Demands
- • Working in indoor and outdoor settings
- • Walking, sitting, standing, squatting, climbing, kneeling, and/or stooping motions for long periods of time
- • Working with materials, gear, and heavy equipment (to include lifting, bending, pushing, and/or pulling)
- • Walking on uneven, wet, muddy, and/or frozen ground
