Waterfowl Hunting Workshop for Adults (Northwest OR)
Experience the excitement of waterfowl hunting in Northwest Oregon with this immersive, hands-on workshop. Whether you’re new to waterfowl hunting or looking to refine your skills, this two-day event will provide the knowledge and field experience needed to confidently pursue ducks and other waterfowl on your own.
DAY 1:
The workshop begins with an interactive classroom session covering waterfowl hunting seasons and regulations, habitat and migration patterns, and an overview of effective duck hunting techniques. Participants will then rotate through four hands-on breakout sessions:
- Finding a Place to Hunt – Learn how to identify productive waterfowl hunting areas and access opportunities on public lands.
- Gear and Equipment – Understand essential waterfowl gear, including decoys, waders, blinds, and clothing systems.
- Calling Practice – Develop effective calling techniques to attract ducks within range.
- Shotgun Skills for Waterfowl – Practice shooting fundamentals and techniques specific to duck hunting scenarios.
DAY 2:
Practical Duck Hunt – Participants join a mentored, in-the-field duck hunt, applying the skills learned on Day 1 from a duck blind under real hunting conditions.
By the end of the workshop, participants will leave with practical experience, improved confidence, and a strong foundation in waterfowl hunting. If you’re ready to get started in waterfowl hunting, this workshop is an excellent way to begin.
