Rifle Skills: Fundamentals for Adults

This hands-on course is designed for adults eager to enter (or advance in) big game hunting with a modern, scoped bolt-action rifle—the most popular and precise choice for ethical big game pursuits.

Ideal for beginners or those transitioning to centerfire rifles, this course combines classroom instruction with live-fire range time to turn knowledge into real-world capability.

Course Objectives:

  • Detailed understanding of bolt-action rifle components and operation.
  • Proper selection, mounting, and zeroing of scopes and optics
  • Basics of ammunition, ballistics, and selection.
  • Fundamental marksmanship principles (stance, breathing, trigger control)
  • Practical shooting from field positions (prone, sitting, kneeling, offhand)
  • Range practice to build accuracy and confidence

Whether you're new to rifle shooting or want to sharpen your skills before hunting season, this workshop is a great opportunity to build your confidence and knowledge!
