Southern Oregon is home to some of the best turkey hunting opportunities in the state! Whether you're new to the sport or looking to refine your skills, this hands-on workshop is designed to provide adults with the knowledge and practical experience needed for a successful turkey hunt.

The workshop begins with an interactive classroom session covering turkey hunting seasons and regulations, turkey behavior and habitat, scouting strategies, and essential equipment. Participants will then rotate through three hands-on learning stations:

Calling Practice – Learn when, why, and how to use turkey calls effectively in different hunting situations.
Hunter’s Trail – Explore hunting setups, decoy strategies, concealment techniques, and the gear every turkey hunter should carry.
Shotgun Setup – Pattern your shotgun, compare ammunition options, and fine-tune your sights to maximize effectiveness in the field.

By the end of the workshop, participants will have a solid foundation in turkey hunting techniques and the confidence to apply those skills during the season. If you're ready to pursue turkeys in Southern Oregon, this workshop is an excellent place to start.

What To Bring

Weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear
Personal shotgun - must be unloaded and inspected before use (optional loaners will be available onsite)
Eye and ear protection (provided if needed)
Water and snacks
Turkey calls (optional – provided for practice if needed)
