Bowhunter Safety Field Day
This class teaches bowhunters the fundamentals of safe and responsible archery hunting, along with fostering respect for the wildlife and environments in which they hunt. To attend the Field Day, minor students must first complete the online Bowhunter Safety Course.
During the Field Day, students will:
• Use and shoot their own bow and arrows (no broadheads permitted)
• Participate in walk‑through 3D hunting scenarios to practice making ethical and successful decisions in the field
• Complete a written test and shooting qualification
Note: Bowhunter Education classes do not meet the requirements for a Hunter Safety Education Certificate. However, the Bowhunter Education certificate you receive does satisfy bowhunter certification requirements in other states.
